Terms & Conditions
Effective date: October 21, 2026 | Last updated: October 21, 2026
Welcome to the website of Saltwater Wellness (“Saltwater Wellness,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at saltwater-wellness.com (the “Website”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Website. By using the Website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. Educational Purposes Only; No Medical Advice
The information on this website is for general educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional dental or medical advice. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions about a medical condition, and never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on this Website. Information about conditions, therapies, medications, and treatments is general in nature and may not apply to you.
2. No Provider-Patient Relationship
Using the Website, sending us a message, or requesting an appointment does not create a provider-patient relationship. A relationship is formed only after an in-person or other agreed evaluation by one of our licensed providers and your agreement to receive care.
3. Medical Emergencies
The Website and our contact forms are not for emergencies and are not monitored around the clock. If you think you may be experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
4. Appointments, Consultations, and Treatment
- Scheduling an appointment does not guarantee treatment. Whether a service or medication is appropriate for you is decided by a licensed provider after an individual evaluation, which may include a health history, examination, and laboratory testing.
- Some therapies are available only by prescription. Not every person qualifies, and we may decline, modify, or discontinue treatment when we believe it is not medically appropriate.
- Risks, benefits, alternatives, and expected course of care are discussed with you in person and are covered in the consent forms you review and sign before treatment.
- Please keep your appointments. Our office may ask for reasonable notice to cancel or reschedule, and any late-cancellation or no-show policies will be explained to you when you book.
5. Services, Pricing, and Memberships
Services, descriptions, prices, membership plans, and availability shown on the Website are subject to change without notice and may not reflect every current offer. A price shown on the Website is not a binding quote. Pricing for medications, laboratory testing, and similar items may depend on your individual plan of care. Memberships and recurring plans are governed by the written terms you agree to when you enroll. If those terms conflict with these Terms, the membership terms control for that plan. Unless stated otherwise, we do not bill insurance for services described on the Website, and you are responsible for your own payment obligations.
6. Images, Examples, and Results
Images on the Website are for educational and illustrative purposes and may include stock photography or AI-generated imagery. Unless expressly identified as actual patient photographs, they should not be understood to depict patients of this practice or treatment performed here. Illustrative images are not evidence of actual or expected treatment outcomes and do not guarantee results. Results vary by individual. Testimonials and reviews reflect individual experiences, are not guarantees, and are not necessarily typical.
7. Communications
Not secure. Contact forms, standard email, and standard text messages are not secure. Please do not send health details through them (see our Privacy Policy).
Consent to contact. When you give us your contact details, you agree that we may contact you by phone, email, or text about your inquiry, appointment, or care.
Text messages. If you opt in to receive text messages from us, you consent to receive messages at the number you provide, including appointment reminders and, if you agree separately in writing, marketing messages sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel and HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Intellectual Property
The Website and its content, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, video, layout, and design, are owned by or licensed to Saltwater Wellness and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and print the content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, scrape, republish, or create derivative works from the Website without our prior written permission. Saltwater Wellness and our logos are our marks, and you may not use them without permission.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Website for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its servers, accounts, or data;
- introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code, or interfere with the Website’s operation or security;
- use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Website, except ordinary search-engine indexing;
- submit false, misleading, or someone else’s personal information; or
- impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with us.
10. Information You Submit; Reviews
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit. If you send us a message, feedback, or a suggestion, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use it to respond to you and to operate and improve our business, without obligation to you. We do not use patient names, photographs, or testimonials in advertising without the patient’s written authorization.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Website may contain links to or embeds from third-party websites and services, including maps, social media, scheduling, payment, and review platforms. These are provided for convenience. We do not control or endorse them, and we are not responsible for their content, products, services, or privacy practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
12. Accuracy and Availability of the Website
We work to keep the Website accurate and current, but we do not warrant that content is complete, accurate, or up to date, or that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time without notice.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Nothing in these Terms is a warranty or guarantee about any treatment, product, or outcome.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SALTWATER WELLNESS AND ITS OWNERS, PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE WEBSITE OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT. This limitation applies to the Website and its content. It does not limit any liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for professional services rendered to a patient, which is governed by applicable law and your care agreements.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Saltwater Wellness and its owners, providers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Website or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
16. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information through the Website. Health information we hold about patients is also protected by HIPAA and described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
17. Accessibility
We want the Website to be usable by everyone. If you have difficulty using any part of it, or need information in another format, contact us at (503) 689-1228 or info@saltwater-wellness.com and we will work with you.
18. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us and try in good faith to resolve the matter informally. Subject to applicable law, any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Oregon, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
20. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any written agreements you sign with us, are the entire agreement regarding your use of the Website. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a sale or reorganization of our business.
